Pattern Selection

I combine images and cut apart patterns juxtaposing qualities such as scale, rendering, line and density so that the imagery wraps around the form, interacting with the shape and surface of the pot, as well as the other images on the pot.

In selecting your patterns, tell me which images you are attracted to, and which I should stay away from. Keep in mind that although you might not like a certain image featured on the pot by itself, certain images provide an interesting quality that contrasts with the other images, making the overall composition more dynamic.

Patterns break down into the following groups, I like to combine images from different groups, but if you prefer, I can use a single pattern, or images from just one group- i.e. botanical (see images below for tableware using single patterns.)
