THANK YOU

There are so many people whose support made this show possible, I barely know where to begin.

First I must thank my entire family, whose enduring love and support have seen me through so many of life’s transitions. Your unwavering belief in me fuels my faith in myself. Thanks especially to my Dad, Tom Robinson and my brother, Andrew Robinson the two men in my life who I know without question will always be there for me. A special thank you as well to my brother’s role as chef, for the opening and my wonderful sister in law Jessica Robinson for her help and for making my brother so happy.

This show exists in honor of my mother, Judy Robinson, whose strength and fortitude have inspired me my entire life. She was always the first to support my dreams and have pride in even my smallest accomplishments. I wish more than anything she could have been here to see it.

I wish to thank the School of Art Faculty, whose expertise and openness have provided the wealth of insight and knowledge that I have been privileged to draw upon for the last three years. I wish especially to thank my incredible committee: Brad Schwieger, Joe Bova, Mary Manusos, Erika Leppmann, Guy Goodwin and Yoon Soo Lee, as well as the rest of the ceramics faculty: Chuck McWeeny, Boomer Moore and Pamela Pemberton. I also wish to thank Tom Patin.

I feel especially privileged to have had the opportunity to work closely with an incredible group of colleagues for the past three years. I have learned from and been inspired by each fellow graduate student here and will cherish these relationships always. I wish especially to thank: Stephanie Lanter, Ted Adler, Ingrid Bathe, Jeremy Kane, Pedar Dalthorp, Debra English, Carmela Laganse, Michelle Tobia, Ben Alvers, Nikki Blair, Christyl Boger, Molly Frantz, Kristen Kieffer, Pat Hunsinger, Bill Mason, Noah Hylek, Jim Turner, Ron Saunders, Bill Bitunjec, Lisa Choinackey, MarkSlankard , David Johannson, Mei Mei Chang, Joy Curtis and Tom Cumbow as well as so many others.

There are a number of people whose help was critical to getting this exhibition together. I wish especially to thank Annie Strader, who has assisted me throughout the entire final stages of the exhibition. A huge thank you also goes to Brian Zink for devotedly completing the pedestal/shelves, and to Tom Cumbow, Jared Bogan and Mei Mei Chang for help in their completion. I also have to thank the outstanding group of undergraduate ceramic majors who enthusiastically helped whenever called on: Michelle, Audrey, Kristen, Chloe, Kordula, Lisa, CW, Josh, and Dustin. Big thanks also to Deb English and Mei Mei Chang for painting yellow in the back room, and also for Mei Mei’s help with graphics and food. to Adrian’s and Ben’s muscles, to David, Sunny and Mei Mei’s photographic expertise. And to Sunny, Michelle, David and Mei Mei for contributing food for the opening.

I also wish to thank my Western mother’s and mentors: Diane Kenney, Peg Malloy, and Charity Davis, as well as my past teachers, without whose help I would have never made it to graduate school: Doug Browe and Jan Hoyman, Brook and Rose LeVan. There are so many people who have inspired and influenced me lately and throughout the years.

I apologize for any who I’ve so unforgivably left out or whose names I’ve misspelled.
